About Me

My life has been a varied one. Along the way, I learned a lot about life, people, and the struggles we all endure. Most importantly, I discovered how much I value connecting with fellow humans from all walks of life and different perspectives. Through my personal journey, with its inevitable ups and downs, I realised years ago that my passion lay in supporting others to navigate through difficult and turbulent times in their lives. Reflecting on my personal experiences, I've come to understand the profound difference it makes to have someone to simply listen and share my troubles with. This insight drives my commitment to providing compassionate support to others.

As a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, I am also passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with, or suspect they have, ADHD, as I believe in the importance of providing tailored support that honours the unique experiences and strengths of each person. Drawing from my own lived experience with ADHD, I strive to create a safe and understanding space where clients feel empowered to explore their challenges and embrace their individuality. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to personalised and affirming mental health care. As part of my commitment to personalised care, I encourage clients to explore various ways of engaging in our sessions that best suit their needs and preferences. For example, some individuals may find it helpful to occupy their hands during a session by doodling, drawing, crocheting, or knitting etc. This can create a more comfortable and relaxed environment, allowing for a deeper sense of connection and openness. My goal is to support each client in finding strategies that work best for them as they navigate their therapeutic journey.

Essentially, when working with me,  you won't find judgement, or opinions or advice on what you should be doing.  What you will find is someone who is down to earth and authentic, someone who will make you feel heard, and will assist it providing you with tools you may find helpful.
